Two weeks ago Galaxy s3 owners started receiving the eagerly awaited Android 4.3 Jelly bean update. Sadly though it soon became apparent that the update was likely released a bit prematurely.
Not long after the update started rolling out Samsung started to receive complaints from customers.
Among the problems that was most reported was:
- Wake up lag.
- Random freezing up.
- Battery drains.
- Poor music playback.
- Multitasking issues.
- Wi-Fi issues.
Official statement from Samsung UK was as follows:
“As we are currently investigating the reported issues with Galaxy S3 4.3 Jelly Bean update, the upgrading service has been temporarily suspended. We are committed to providing customers with the best possible mobile experience, and will ensure to resume the upgrading service at the earliest possibility.”
Samsung Has temporarily suspended the update. Hopefully it will be back soon. Likely Samsung will try to resolve the issues before re releasing the update.
Luckily the issues does not seem to affect the new Samsung flagship cell phone, the Galaxy s4.
