Android 4.4 Kit Kat seeding to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2

If you are the lucky owner of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 you are about to get the treat of the week. Samsung has started seeding the highly anticipated Android 4.4 update.

For the longest time we was not even sure if this update was going to come to Note 2 owners before Samsung stopped updating this handset. But according to GSMArena a highly reputable source for cell phone news, the firmware update has now started reaching owners of the phablet in France.

To be more specific it is the 4.4.2 Android version which is now seeding to owners across the French nation. This should ensure that you, among other things get a phone that is faster all around.

Also included is :

  • KNOX
  • Samsung wallet
  • Camera lock screen shortcut
  • Transparent status bar
  • Better stability
  • Faster

Like always this does not mean that the latest update will hit all phones across the globe at the same time. So far the information we have suggest that France is the only country getting it. Sadly it could take weeks or even months for everyone to get it. History shows that if you are on a carriers like Sprint or AT&T it could take as long as 6 months before they are done tweaking the update to their liking.

If you would like to get the update as soon as it’s available to your device it is usually worth it to do a manual check from your phone. Take a look at the Galaxy Note 2 update tutorial we made to find out how to get the official update as soon as possible.
