It’s hard to write something about Angry Birds Rio without comparing it to it’s predecessor Angry Birds. I’ll try however to keep it to a minimum.

Game play

The game play does not only resemble the way one plays Angry Bird, it’s exactly the same. For those few of you who haven’t tried it, it’s all about hurling various birds towards its targets using a sling shot. The difference is that in Rio your goal is to free birds from cages.

The story is that you have to go to Rio to free the captivated bird-lings from their cages.

The graphics seem fresh and new and more importantly they seem to need less processing power to run smoothly, at least that is the case on the HTC legend.

There are new sounds to this release but they seem pretty much like the original ones.

Not that it’s necessarily a bad thing, but the sounds of angry birds have never been its strongest wise.

You control the game by putting tension on the sling shot simply by putting your finger on the bird in the sling shot and pull back. When your satisfied with the force and the angle of the projectile release and cross your fingers while it flies towards its target.

Sound/Music – 8/10
Controls – 10/10
Game play 10/10
Replay Value – 10/10
Final Score – 10/10

I am the owner and main contributor to this website. Throughout the years I've owned an embarrassing number of Android phones. Too many to mention in fact. Lets just say it started with the HTC legend and I'm now on the Galaxy Note 4.
