How to block someone on Android

Being hassled by telemarketers, or have a few “friends” that keep calling you at the weirdest hours. Let me show you how to make your phone ignore them like they didn’t even exist by following these easy steps.

There can be any number of reasons for wanting to not have someone being able to get a hold of you on your phone. Regardless of why, you can thankfully pretty easily block any contact from texting or calling you ever again on any newer Android phone.

 


How to block someone on a Samsung phone

  1. Head on into your contacts app
  2. Press the contact you want to block and choose “details” from the menu that appears
  3. From the contact page press the three dots in the upper right corner
  4. Press “Block contact”
  5. A pop up will appear where you will have to confirm your choice

How to block someone on a Google phone

  1. Head on into your call app
  2. Tap call history
  3. Tap a call from the number you want to block
  4. Tap “Block / report spam”

 

How to block someone on a LG phone

  1. Open your call app
  2. Tap the three dots in the upper right corner
  3. Select “call reject” from the list
  4. Choose “reject calls on list”
  5. Now tap the “plus” symbol to add numbers from your list of contacts

 

How to block someone on a Huawei phone

  1. Open your contacts app
  2. Tap the contact you want to block
  3. Tap the menu button
  4. Tap “add to blacklist”
