How to factory reset Android Wear

This is how to reset your Android wear device to factory default.The reasons for wanting to reset your device back to the way it was the day you bought it can be many. The most common reason being that doing this will erase all the data stored on the device. Whether you have the LG G watch, Samsung Gear Live or the soon to be released Moto 360, the steps needed to do it is the same.

This is thanks to the fact that they all run Google’s Android wear Os for watches and wearables. There are two ways of doing this. Let me show you how.

Say “settings” or scroll down

  1. From your home screen say “ok Google”
  2. From the next screen say “settings”
  3. Now all you have to do is to scroll down and press the reset device.
  4. Confirm your choice and wait for your Android wear device to revert to factory settings

If you don’t feel chatty today, or you are afraid of looking like a dork on the bus or any other crowded place you don’t have to talk to your watch or wearable.

All you have to do is to tap the display to bring up Google search. Now all you have to do is scroll down until you see the  reset device tab. From there follow step 3 and 4 from the instructions above.
