How to screenshot Sony Xperia SP

This is how you do a screenshot on the Sony Xperia SP

When something noteworthy happens on your cell phone it is nice to know that you can easily share whats going on by doing a print screen on your cell phone.

In the past we have become acustomed to taking screenshots on our computers with the print screen button. In fact most keyboards have a designated button for this, the Prt Sc button. Doing this on our phones can be a bit harder since there obviously is no designated button for this on our phones. Keep reading and I will show you how to do a screen dump on your device.

  5. not working with my SP :( is there any other way of doing this

    • Press & hold Power button with Volume key down at the same time then screen shot automatically will be captured. This system only works Android version 4.3 on Sony Xperia SP(C5302/C5303)also may others phone. If you use Android version 4.2 on same model phone then just press & hold power button then new window will be opened. It will show Shutdown, Airplane mode, and Take a screen shot. Just touch on Take a screen shot then automatically screen shot will be captured. Thanks.

  6. Thank you so much this helped tons! Too bad that after the sony update they changed it to this..

    • You’re right. I remember quite well It used to show up when u press shut down key but suddenly disappeared after I updated.

  7. The design is stupid that we’ve to press both at the same time,it makes a simple action so much tedious. I rem I’ve the screenshot option available on my power button and i don’t know why and when it has disappeared. Probably when i was asked to update the system…

  11. Thanks for the article!

This way of making a screenshot is very inconvenient, isn’t it?

  12. Not working with my handset. This is so irritating, what a nonsense update, really.

  13. But how does it work post the 4.3 update?
    Please help

  14. Is it possible to change how the screenshot is taken?
With the previous Android version for SP it was possible to do it with one hand by just holding power button pressed (and then selecting screenshot).
    No two hands are needed!

  15. Thanks, very use full

  16. Thank you for telling this .. Really wanted to know as I am new at using xperia SP =)

  17. Been wondering about this after upgrading my Xperia Sp since I used to do it by holding the power key for a couple of seconds and clicking the screenshot option. Thanks for the info!
