HTC one owners on Sprint can now update to Android 4.4 kit kat

If you are on Sprint and have a HTC ONE you can now start updating your phone to Kit Kat.

The race to be the first carrier to get the newest version of Android installed on their customers handsets are officially over for the HTC ONE.

US carrier sprint is not yet actively pushing the update to its consumers but it possible to obtain it by actively checking for it.

Check out this tutorial if you are not sure how to do this : How to update the HTC one.

Sadly the update is not made available to all users at the same time so you may or may not get a message saying that there is no update available for your device yet. This is purely a game of chance, almost like playing the lottery. All I can say is that I hope you get your update as soon as possible. If you find that you are among those who can’t get it yet you should take a few deep breaths and give it another try in a day or so.

Some of the new features you can look forward to is:

  1. Emoji emoticons.
  2. Chromecast support.
  3. Built in device management.
  4. Low power audio playback.
  5. Touchscreen improvements.

For the full list check out the official Android 4.4 page.

I am the owner and main contributor to this website. Throughout the years I've owned an embarrassing number of Android phones. Too many to mention in fact. Lets just say it started with the HTC legend and I'm now on the Galaxy Note 4.
