Some key specifications are :
  • CPU
At the core of the new Nexus is a Snapdragon s4 quad core processor. This is the same processor as in the LG optimus G so the performance should be quite similar to that cell phone. In theory this means that it will be a bit faster than one of it’s main competitors the Samsung Galaxy s3. If this is the case it will be the fastest Android phone there is.
  • Screen
The Nexus 4 is fitted with a 4,7 inch  LCD screen with 768 x 1280 ressolution making its screen just .1 inches smaller than the Galaxy s3 and significantly bigger than the IPhone 5. This fits nicely with the trend that cell phone screens are getting larger. And it seems that we are buying these phones so I guess manufacturers will keep making them that way.
  • Internal memory
The Nexus 4 comes with a 8 GB storage capacity. This is not puts it in the middle class of the high end devices that are already out there. The biggest let down concerning this though is that it doesn’t come with a memory card slot for expanding your storage cappacity. It may be that the phone will come in a 16 GB version later but these are just speculations.
It comes with a respectable 2 GB of RAM though.
  • Android Os
From what we could see from the carphone warehouse web page it read that it would come with the latest version of Android Jelly Bean. If this means that it will come with 4.1 or 4.2 we could not see. It probably wont make to much of a difference though as the 4.1 – 4.2 leap will likely be just a small update and this being a nexus device it will most likely get the 4.2 upgrade very soon after it’s made available anyway.

I am the owner and main contributor to this website. Throughout the years I've owned an embarrassing number of Android phones. Too many to mention in fact. Lets just say it started with the HTC legend and I'm now on the Galaxy Note 4.
