It has been quite a long time since Google announced this years big update to the Android Os ( Lollipop ) . Since that time we have been patiently or not so patiently waiting for the update to hit our phones.
If you are like me you have been checking that update button on your phone daily for the last couple of weeks. Sadly the text : ” The latest updates have already been installed” has been imprinted in my head to the point where I thought it was the only feedback I would get from trying to update my Galaxy Note 4 to Lollipop. ( Android 5.0 or 5.1 ) if the rumored 5.0 skip turn out to be true.
Like so often with these updates they no not hit all countries and carriers at once. For now the Polish people are the only ones that hes been reported receiving it. Most likely Samsung want to test the latest version on a small group of people to discover and patch any big bugs that may not have been discovered jet.
The people over at Sammobile.com has managed to get a version based on Android version 5.0.1 running on one og their Galaxy Note 4 devices. You can check it out right here.
Hopefully there won’t be too much of a wait for consumers around the globe to start seeing this on their own handsets. But from past experience we have learned that it could take weeks before it starts appearing in other countries.
Another thing you should take into account is that if you are on one of the major American carriers like Sprint, T-Mobile or any other cell phone carrier that customizes the Os in their own way the wait could actually be quite long jet. And I’m not talking weeks, more likely months or possibly as long as half a year. Sigh…
