After months of rumors and speculations the Oneplus was finally officially announced today via the onplus twitter account.
First impressions when looking at the hardware that sits inside the Oneplus is that no expense has been spared to make this a phone worthy of competing with the flagship models from the big cell phone manufacturers like Motorola, Samsung and HTC. It has the same impressive Snapdragon processor we find in the Galaxy S5 and the HTC one M8. Even more impressive is the fact that it has been fitted with 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM, only rivaled by the Galaxy note 3.
It is a good looking phone.
According to it’s creators the Oneplus has been carefully created to be a phone that looks and feels premium. When choosing building materials both stainless steel and aluminum was rejected due to the fact that it could be made lighter by using magnesium. You need only take a quick glance at the photo below to see that the Oneplus is a great looking phone by anyones standard.
Looks premium, made from premium parts, must be expensive.
By comparing the specs and the building materials used to construct the Oneplus we thought it would be an expensive phone, but that was not necessarily true.
What I think is expensive and you think may be a different matter but for what it’s worth, and compared to the competitions flagship models this is in no way an expensive phone. By looking at the official pricing image the company has supplied we can see that it is going to cost only 299 dollars with the 16 GB internal memory.

The oneplus has a removable back plate and comes with a variety of more or less strange options. My favorite is by far the denim one. Looks really cool but I doubt I would actually go ahead and buy it
Another thing worth noting is the fact that the Oneplus runs on cyanogenmod based from Android 4.4 Kitkat.
