This is how you do a screenshot on the LG Optimus G

When something noteworthy happens on your cell phone it is nice to know that you can easily share whats going on by doing a print screen on your cell phone.

In the past we have become accustomed to taking screenshots on our computers with the print screen button. In fact most keyboards have a designated button for this, the Prt Sc button. Doing this on our phones can be a bit harder since there obviously is no designated button for this on our phones. Keep reading and I will show you how to do a screen dump on your device.

  1. Press and hold the power button and the Volume down button.
  2. That’s it. If you can’t seem to get it right remember that you have to hold them pressed for a second or two.
  3. If this was useful why not

Once the screenshot has been captured your phone will flash and play a sound to let you know that the operation was successfully completed.

To take a closer look at the new image of your phones screen simply pull down the notification area where a thumbnail of the photo will be displayed. Press it to go to your phones gallery where you can edit the image or share it with your friends via the social media of your choice, or any other thing you might imagine doing with it.

  1. I have a LG Optimus L70 and this works on my phone . It works thanks!

  2. I did it by accident and couldnt do it again, this worked perfectly…if its a reset for you than you are probably looking at the wrong phone info

  3. I JUST tried it and IT WORKS exactly how it said it would!! {THANK YOU}

    So please dont worry about this being a “prank” or it causing a factory reset, because it doesnt! :-)

  4. It wont work

  5. The screen shot always comes up woth the volume button being displayed. Fixable option?

  6. These look like the instructions for a factory reset on the phone according to the manual :(

    • Not sure about this phone, but in most android phones
      When phone is ON, press and hold the power+volume_down buttons, take screen shut
      When phone is OFF, press and hold the power+volume_down(+home in samsungs) buttons, go to bootloader/recovery/ menu
